Drs. Hicken, Cranley, & Taylor, P.A. was founded in 1970 and has been a highly respected hospital-based surgical and clinical pathology practice serving the medical communities in this region for over 50 years. In 2005, HCT Pathology Services was formed to specifically provide dermatopathology and surgical pathology expertise to local physicians practicing in an outpatient setting. We accept all insurance plans.


Our Services Include:

Dermatopathology

The recognition and diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors of the skin, inflammatory dermatoses, and other disease processes. All cases are examined by Board-Certified dermatopathologists, providing rapid turn-around time and internet report access.

General Surgical Pathology

Assisting the surgeon and clinician by providing accurate and timely biopsy interpretations, which are the basis of many treatment decisions. With a diverse range of generalists and specialists we offer the expertise of an academic setting combined with the efficiency and personalized service of a private practice. Our team of twenty-one board certified pathologists has subspecialty training and expertise in Gastrointestinal, Urologic, Breast, Gynecologic, Soft Tissue, Orthopedic, Pulmonary, and Pediatric pathology.

Cytopathology

The diagnosis of disease by minimally invasive techniques (such as Fine Needle Aspiration) and smear preparations, using the latest technologies.

Hematopathology

Working with the hematologist and oncologist to provide diagnoses of leukemias, lymphomas, and other diseases of the blood and lymph nodes. Newer techniques such as flow cytometry and molecular diagnostics provide for greater diagnostic accuracy and tailored therapies.
